Crystal Cattle Beauty Swap

It is finally time for another Crystal Cattle Beauty Swap. Crystal has been hosting these beauty swaps for two years now, and I have participated in all but the first one. Crystal co-hosted this swap with Myla from The Purple Front Door. These swaps are always a lot fun and are a great way to connect with other women from all over the world. I have sent and received beauty packages from several states across the nation including Michigan, Montana, Iowa, South Dakota, Arizona, and also Canada. Through the swapping I have discovered so many fun beauty items, and many I have recommended to others through the swap.

For this swap I was paired up with someone who lives not that far from me. If you were to follow the St. Croix River that my town is located on, about 2 1/2 hours south, you would meet up with the mighty Mississippi and find yourself in Mamie's hometown. Mamie is a busy mom to two little girls, and a wife to her husband of 9 years. She works for the Mayo Clinic, and has small farm where she raises laying hens, sheep and gardens for the farmers markets. Mamie also blogs at Blessings Abound and Rochester Mn Moms Blog, and advocates for agriculture through AgStar's Women In Ag program.

Crystal Cattle 2015

Mamie Sent me some really fun items:

A Jamberry starter kit along with two additional nail sheets, MAYBELLINE Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer, Lavanilla Body Butter, Fablash 3D Fiber Mascara Set, a notebook from Thirty-one and a pen from Jamberry, and these are great to toss in my purse.

I have not had the opportunity to try many of these products yet, but the body butter is great for my dry hands. I have tried the Instant Pore Eraser and I love it. It makes my skin feel baby soft, but doesn't add any un-needed greasiness. I am holding off on the Mascara because I recently opened a new tube. I am also really excited to try the Jamberry nail wraps, but am holding off for a trip that I have planned to Washington D.C. next month with CommonGround.

This was a really fun swap, and it was great to connect with another aggie blogger from the area.

Fall Beauty Swap

It is fall once again, and that means that it is time for another Beauty Swap from Crystal Cattle. It is always so much fun to participate in this. Who doesn't love to get a package in the mail filled with beauty products picked out just special for you?

This time I was paired with Kacie. Kacie lives in Iowa, works in the meat industry and travels the US helping to improve meat production all while keeping it safe and high in quality. I think her her job is awesome!

The package that I received from Kacie was full of lots of goodies. I received a BolderBand headband (I think it is my favorite!) EOS lip balm, an e.l.f. dual pencil sharpener, Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara, e.l.f. shine eraser, Urban Decay Naked 24/7 double-ended eye pencil, and a big pack of my all time favorite sweet treat! (notice that they are no longer a big pack, but just a couple of individuals remaining)

Overall, I love all of the products that I received, and have used them all except the mascara, as I had just bought some recently and will wait to use my new one until I run out.
Thank you to Crystal of Crystal Cattle and Ashley of Messy Kennedy for hosting this Beauty Swap, I can't wait to participate again next time, and thank you Kacie for all the the great gifts!

Spring Beauty Swap

I know that I have been severely slacking on this whole blog thing lately. It has been a couple of weeks since I have posted anything at all. I have been SUPER busy packing up our house. We move in three weeks, and I am having a moving sale in two weeks. So blog posts are few and far between for me right now unless you want to see more pictures of boxes and empty walls. I am lucky if I have time to get through my emails everyday. Once we get settled a bit in the new house I will be busy with new projects to write about.

I signed up once again to participate in another Beauty Swap hosted by Crystal of Crystal Cattle and also Taysha of Dirt Road Charm, since I had so much fun with the last one. This time I was paired with Heidi (@HDPRKR), a very busy mom from South Dakota. I received lots of awesome products from Heidi.

Here is what I received:
- two infinity scarves, one in a blue paisley pattern and once solid white
- Aqua Spa Body Crème
- Simple Radiance cleansing wipes
- Bare Foot foot scrub
 - NYC Big Bold Curl mascara
 - e.l.f. shimmering facial whip
- Jergens BB Body perfecting skin cream
- NYC nail polish in Spring Street and Madison Avenue colors
- NYC lip gloss in Blush Forever
 - NYC lip stain in Champagne
 - and lastly a cosmetic bag with two travel bottles and a lufa.

I can't say that I have a favorite product from this Beauty Swap, I have tried them all and love them all! It is so awesome to receive a fun package in the mail that is filled with fun 'girly' things just for me, and is even more fun trying out all the great beauty products.

Thank you Heidi for all of the great products, and thank you to Crystal and Taysha for hosting another fun Beauty Swap.

Beauty Swap

So, a while back I signed up to participate in a Beauty Swap hosted by Crystal Cattle and also Cowgirl Crush. Crystal has a great blog that is not only agriculture, but also she like beauty and fashion, and most of all she loves turquoise as much a I do. And Cowgirl Crush is a fashion line that is absolutely amazing, just my style of clothing.

For the Beauty Swap I was paired up with Stacey (aka @4RuffledFeathers) from Arizona. Stacey and I seemed to have a lot in common as far as out beauty routines, and I think more in common that we think, even in our personal styles. So, what did I get?

From Stacey I received: 1.a bag of M&M's (my favorite); 2.elf eye shadow in Happy Hour; 3.elf blush in Tickled Pink; 4.eos lip balm; 5.essie nail polish in Cute as a Button; 6.Dionis hand cream in scented in Love; 6.an adorable make-up bag; 7.and a leather cuff that was made by Stacey herself that says "Be Mine".
Stacey definitely had a valentines theme that she sent me and how fun is that. I love everything that she sent me and can't really say that I have a favorite, but I really like the leather cuff, it is very unique and is just my style. Stacey is very talented.

I had so much fun shopping for Stacey, and it was really great to receive a special package just for me. You can check out her Etsy store and see others of her great leather works at 4 Ruffled Feathers. This Beauty Swap was a lot of fun and I will definitely be doing it again.
